Do you need help with a youth who is having trouble coping with life’s difficulties?
Foster's Home Family Care Program provides services to at-risk youth and their families through the Services to At-Risk Youth Program (STAR). Services are free and confidential. Services include: case management, counseling, crisis intervention, emergency care services, skills training, parent education and support and child abuse prevention services.
Caseworkers serve families living in Erath, Bosque, Eastland, Hood, Somervell, Young, Callahan, Comanche, Hamilton, Jack, Shackelford, and Stephens Counties.
Goals of the STAR Program:

To strengthen and stabilize families

To prevent the occurrence of abuse and neglect, runaway, truancy, abandonment, family conflict and delinquent behavior

To help families and youth learn to resolve crisis and develop coping skills

To help parents resume and maintain parental responsibility
Child Abuse Prevention Services
Services are available at no cost to any individual, organization, school or church in the community who is interested in learning about ways to prevent child abuse and neglect.
Examples of services include: training for staff on topics related to child abuse prevention, such as reporting abuse and presentations for parents and children such as parenting skills and Yello Dyno (Tricky People).
